Adjustable Trigger Troubleshooting
Thank you for purchasing one of our adjustable triggers. If you are experiencing issues getting your firearm to operate (dead trigger), please try these troubleshooting tips.
-
Check the safety: Ensure that the safety is not engaged or in the "on" position, as this can prevent the trigger from functioning. This may seem obvious but we all forget things from time to time.
- When installing the trigger, did you use the included 3D-printed adjustment fixture to set your set screws? Either way, try to remove the set screws and see if the issue still exists. If that fixes the issue, then it was just a problem with the set screw position and you need to use the provided fixtures to set your set screw positions.
-
Check for obstructions: Look for any obstructions in the trigger mechanism or the firing pin channel. Even a small piece of debris can prevent the trigger from functioning.
-
Check the sear engagement: Inspect the sear engagement to ensure that it is properly engaging the trigger. If the sear engagement is not correct, it may need to be adjusted or repaired.
-
Check the hammer or striker: Make sure the hammer or striker is properly seated and not binding. If it is binding, it may need to be cleaned or lubricated.
-
Check the trigger linkage: Inspect the trigger linkage to ensure that it is properly aligned and functioning. If the linkage is not properly aligned, it may need to be adjusted or repaired.
-
Check for worn or damaged parts: Look for any worn or damaged parts in the trigger mechanism. If any parts are worn or damaged, they may need to be replaced.
