Folding and Unfolding the Smith & Wesson M&P FPC
As shipped from the factory, the M&P® FPC™ is folded. The M&P® FPC™ is held in the folded position by the notch in the charging slide engaging a slot in the handguard (Figure 16).
To open the M&P® FPC™ from its folded state, the user must draw the charging slide slightly to the rear to unlock it from the handguard (FIGURE 16) and then swing the barrel away from the receiver tube (FIGURE 17).
